1) The Cranberries: Stars: The Best Of 92-02 - Clear 2LP
Following on from the reissues of Everybody Else is Doing it… and No Need to Argue – and 30 years after their debut release – for the first time on vinyl a special transparent edition of The Cranberries' greatest hits collection Stars: The Best Of 1992–2002 is imminent.
The band rose to international fame in the 1990s with global smashes such as ‘Zombie’, ‘Dreams’ and ‘Linger’, collected here alongside tracks from their five albums for Island Records – plus two tracks unavailable on other albums, ‘New New York’ and ‘Stars’.
In 2002, The Cranberries won an award in Taiwan for best selling international band with the album Stars: The Best of 1992-2002.
The Record Store Day 2021 edition of Stars: The Best Of 92-02 is a 2LP set on UMC, pressed on transparent vinyl.
2) Queen + Adam Lambert: Live Around The World EP - 12" Colour Vinyl
Live Around the World was the second live album by Queen + Adam Lambert, a compilation of songs performed at various shows between June 2014 and February 2020. Following on from the UK Number 1 success of the release, this new Record Store Day 2021-exclusive 12" EP feature four tracks taken from the album. Also exclusively available here is a fifth unreleased version of ‘I Want It All’ live from Summer Sonic, Tokyo, Japan, 2014, not on the original release.
In the review of Live Around The World, The Independent declared that this "live album shows why Adam Lambert is perfect for Queen, breathing new life into some of the greatest rock songs ever written."
USM / EMI's Queen + Adam Lambert Live Around The World EP will be presented on 12" 180g heavyweight colour vinyl.
3) The Rolling Stones: Hot Rocks - Yellow 2LP
Hot Rocks was originally released in 1971, the definite Rolling Stones 21-track collection featuring no less than five UK number one singles – '(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction', 'Jumpin’ Jack Flash', 'Get Off Of My Cloud', 'Honky Tonk Women', and 'Paint It Black'.
Alongside the singles are key album tracks and B-sides that would become fan favourites, offering a thrilling overview of seven tumultuous, trailblazing and innovative years of Stones’ hits and also their developing musical styles and public image.
As well as being an enduring and popular retrospective, Hot Rocks became the Rolling Stones' best-selling release of their career.
This unique new package is pressed on 180g yellow vinyl and features original gatefold art, printed inner bags, a set of embossed lithographs featuring photographs by Michael Joseph.
4) Fine Young Cannibals: She Drives Me Crazy (Derrick Carter And Seth Troxler Remixes) - Transparent Magenta 12" Vinyl
As part of a 35-year anniversary celebration of the Fine Young Cannibals' eponymous debut album, London Recordings are releasing the recent remixes by Derrick Carter and Seth Troxler of their huge hits “She Drives Me Crazy’ and 'Johnny Come Home'.
This record includes the original version of 'Johnny Come Home', newly-remastered plus Derrick Carter isolates the brass and drills down to the bedrock of Chicago House with his re-rub. On the flip side, Seth Troxler’s subterranean version of ‘She Drives Me Crazy’ is all static shocks and rumbling hydraulics.
'She Drives Me Crazy' is the band's highest charting single in their native UK. The single proved an even bigger hit in the US, topping the Billboard Hot 100 on 15 April 1989 for one week and becoming the first of two chart-topping singles for the band on that chart.
London Recordings present these exciting new interpretations of classic tracks on transparent magenta coloured vinyl, exclusively for RSD.
5) The Selecter: Live In Coventry '79 - Clear 12" Vinyl
After making its debut in the recently released Deluxe Edition CD Box Set of The Selecter's Too Much Pressure album, Live In Coventry '79, a skanking set from the 2 Tone Records glory days, makes its way to wax.
Live In Coventry '79 is taken from a previously unreleased live recording of a November 1979 show in the band’s hometown of Coventry, England during the first 2 Tone Tour alongside The Specials and Madness, and features classics from 'On My Radio' to 'Too Much Pressure'.
The Selecter's debut single, also called 'The Selecter', was the b-side of the Special AKA's hit single 'Gangsters', the first 2 Tone Records single.
This RSD-exclusive edition is released by 2 Tone on limited edition clear vinyl, featuring the live studio tape label as cover art.
Record Store Day 2021 Drop 2 releases will be on sale at 6 PM on Saturday 17th July on Townsend Music Store. The full list of Record Store Day 2021 Drop 2 releases can be found on the Record Store Day site.
