Breakthrough 39 spotlights our newest Townsend Music artists, each set to make waves with their highly anticipated new releases. From indie yacht rock and cinematic piano compositions to soulful rock, anthemic indie, and raw punk energy, these upcoming titles are ready to pre-order now!

Nature TV - Unlucky For Some

For Fans Of: Eli Smart, Cassia

Door-to-door heartbreak salesmen Nature TV peddle an elixir of jangle indie & melancholic yacht rock. Having amassed a catalogue of seven EPs – each a branch of perennial, lovelorn dream-pop folded through classy sonic interior decoration & swift compositional turns – debut album Unlucky for Some continues the theme of heartbreak in high-fidelity.

Like few others, Nature TV can missile misery at your dopamine receptors via compositions so rich they should have trust funds. It’s an almost impossible tightrope walk that only the most agile of songwriters can sustain. The result is their cleanest and leanest collection to date.

Unlucky For Some can be pre-ordered on Grape Coloured Vinyl and CD on the Heist or Hit Official Store.

Brad Kella - Phoebe's Melody

For Fans Of: Josh Groban, Jamie Webster

Liverpudlian virtuoso pianist Brad Kella has announced his debut album Phoebe’s Melody, released 6th June on Modern Sky UK, a remarkable album from a unique artist with an equally remarkable story.

When Brad Kella won Channel 4’s The Piano, he knew his life would change forever. And so it has proved. From being homeless and playing street pianos to make ends meet, he’s now living out his childhood dream of performing his own music to audiences of thousands in the world’s greatest concert halls.

"It’s been the best feeling in the entire world. If I could put that feeling from those shows into a bottle and sell it, I’d be a billionaire." - Brad Kella

Phoebe's Melody can be pre-ordered on Heavyweight Vinyl and CD with both formats including a signed print on the Brad Kella Official Store.

Ashaine White - Look What You Made Me Do

For Fans Of: Corinne Bailey Rae, The Horrors

Look What You Made Me Do is Ashaine White's fourth EP. A rockier edge than her previous releases, the EP is drenched in distorted guitars and Ashaine’s distinctive vocals.

Taking influence from a large gene pool of genres, the EP walks the line between early 90s guitar-driven rock, the stunning vocal tones of soul music and all with a hint of infectious pop charm.

"'Let Me Down’ is a song about the people in your life that are supposed to be for you and on your side, and the realisation that they’re actually against you". - Ashaine White on Dork

Look What You Made Me Do can be pre-ordered on Heavyweight 12-Inch Vinyl on the Ashaine White Official Store and 5db Official Store.

MOULD - Almost Feels Like Purpose

For Fans Of: DEADLETTER, Jagged Baptist Club

Formed in 2023, Bristol punk trio MOULD have signed to 5db. Their first release with the label will be the 12-inch EP release titled Almost Feels Like Purpose. Recorded in summer last year at Bristol's Humm Studios, Almost Feels Like Purpose bristles with pent-up frustration and showcases frontman Joe Serrin’s sardonic reflections in full flow.

The EP features the single 'SNAILS', a whimsical yet darkly comic tale about a giant, endearingly friendly snail who devours everyone’s gardens with impunity. The track is brought to life with a music video directed and produced by Martyn Thomas.

"It’s probably my favourite off the new EP. It has a big, poppy chorus that I’m chuffed with, it came out sounding banging straight away." - Joe Sherrin on DORK

Almost Feels Like Purpose can be pre-ordered on Pale Blue 12-inch Vinyl on the MOULD Official Store and 5db Official Store.

BIIG TIME - 200K

For Fans Of: DMA'S, The Lottery Winners

Badly kept main-stage-leaping, aspirational indie-rock secrets don’t come much bigger than BIIG TIME, the tune machine side-project cranked by DMA’S guitarist, Johnny Took and his brother, PLANET’s singer, Matthew Took, and yet the wait for album news has lasted… until now.

Titled 200K and set for release on Friday, May 9, 2025, via All Sorted Records, BIIG TIME’s official announcement comes on the heels of high-profile live warm-ups during the Australian dates of Courteeners and Jamie Webster's tours.

200K can be pre-ordered on Transparent Red Vinyl and CD on the BIIG TIME Official Store.
