Waterparks - Greatest Hits
For Fans Of: All Time Low, Neck Deep
Texas pop-rock band Waterparks return with their upcoming fourth album, due for release this month. The Houston trio - Awsten Knight, Otto Wood, and Geoff Wigington - are rewriting the rules with what a band can do in the 21st century and calling their new album Greatest Hits, though the album contains nothing but new material.
Speaking on the making of Greatest Hits, frontman Awsten explains how the pandemic sparked a hugely creative period for him: "I was able to be in my own world uninterrupted by tours and travel. It inspired me to look inward and make exactly what I would want to without any kind of time restraint, deadlines, pressure from fans or anyone else."
"When you hear this album, I hope you walk away feeling like there's no other band doing anything like it." - Awsten Kinght
Greatest Hits is available to pre-order on Union Jack and Tri-Colour edition CD along with merchandise bundles. Catch them on tour across the UK in June 2022.
ISLAND - Yesterday Park
For Fans Of: Sam Fender, BLOXX
Alternative rock band ISLAND have announced the release of their sophomore album, Yesterday Park. The band hail from London and spent years playing together in bedrooms and dingy studios around their home city until they found themselves in Oxford where ISLAND was formed. The band have firmly established themselves as one of the UK's most exciting live bands having toured across the UK, Europe, and North America, along with performances at Reading & Leeds and SXSW.
The four-piece return in 2021 with their second studio album Yesterday Park. Recorded in semi-lockdown last summer, the record sees the band relinquish their traditional self-production duties to collaborate with producer Mikko Gordon (Thom Yorke), generating their latest single 'Do You Remember The Times'.

Alabama 3 - Step 13
For Fans Of: Levellers, Seasick Steve
South London genre-blending storytellers Alabama 3 announce their new album Step 13, due for release this August, produced by Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Jack Savoretti, Tom Walker). The band will support the record's release with the Step 13: The Divine Intervention Tour across the UK and Ireland in Spring 2022.
'Whacked' is the first taste of new material from the band since the tragic passing of the beloved and unconventional frontman The Very Reverend D Wayne Love in 2019. Subsequently, with the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown upon the world, the band submerged themselves in their music and creativity, the fruits of which can be heard in the triumphant new single.
Step 13 is available to pre-order across CD, LP and cassette, as well as a limited edition Orange LP with signed Print along, plus exclusive merchandise bundles.
David Keenan - What Then?
For Fans Of: Saint Sister, Hozier
Singer-storyteller David Keenan is set to release the follow-up to his successful debut album A Beginners Guide To Bravery. The new album What Then? is due for release this October, coinciding with a UK Tour.
David spent the majority of the last decade growing up on the road. The Irish singer left his hometown of Dundalk in Ireland for Liverpool, following the myth and music of The La's frontman Lee Mavers, busking, and sofa surfing whilst honing his craft.
The inspiration for his forthcoming album came from his time spent in Paris last year when he was invited to be an artist in residence in the Centre Culturel Irlandais. Through new words and music, some hard questions of what's been and what's still to come were raised, as the young artist attempted to address them in the safety and solitude of song.
What Then? is available to pre-order on a range of formats alongside exclusive merchandise bundles. Catch him on tour across the UK this October.
Archive - #Archive12
For Fans Of: Massive Attack, Portishead
South London collective Archive have announced the working title of their twelfth studio album #Archive12, due for release in early 2022. The 17-track double album was recorded at RAK Studios in London and produced by long-time collaborator Jérome Devoise.
Writing for the new album took place last year, amidst the height of the pandemic; a situation the band reflected on during the process and drew a strange kind of inspiration from. Speaking on the new album, lead singer Darius Keeper says: "writing our twelfth studio album was an extraordinary time for the band. The songwriting became an unfolding narrative as the world got stranger and more disturbing every day."
"It seems there is light at the end of the tunnel, but there are always shadows within that light." - Darius Keeper
Head to the Archive store to pre-order the album on exclusive formats and to be in with the chance of winning an Archive Golden Ticket which includes a +1 Guest List spot to any/all of the band's headline shows worldwide in 2022.
